Scandic Bryggen

The hotel is located in the town of Honninsgvag, which is nice for strolls and souvenir shopping and has a lot of places to eat, too. It was ideal for many travellers who wanted to visit Nordkapp, like us. The room was very comfortable, with a spacious bathroom. They offer an excellent breakfast, with lots of choices and the staff were really polite and catered to all our needs.

There is little not to like from this hotel. We spent two days and, because of a severe snowstorm, much of it was inside the hotel. It was very cozy, people were friendly and facilities very good. Breakfast (and the chef that explained everything for us) was amazing.

One of few modern approaches when it comes down to sustainability and ease of access to equipment provided. I can't promote more than a review that TV had exposed HDMI port, all other deprecated hotels should learn from this one, such a simple commodity is top notch in my eyes. With additional tips such as turning off tap water while you are brushing your teeth reeks of care for the environment. The receptionist was lovely and made us feel welcome on arrival. We did not expect comfort in such a remote place, yet we got it. Also it was quite quiet, no door slamming of other guests could have heard.

From the moment we arrived in Honningsvag we knew it would be an amazing place to visit. The reasons we were there were twofold. To visit Nordkapp and a place to stay before we joined our cruise. We chose the Scandic Bryggen and from the moment we arrived we were very pleasantly impressed. The staff are all so cheerful and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. They dont try to push or upsell anything. Any questions were answered in depth and with no bias towards the property which seems to be getting rarer these days. The room was spacious with all the expected amenities. The only thing missing was a kettle. We later learned that they were available on request at the reception. The bed was lovely and comfortable. The bathroom was very smart with underfloor heating. The view was fantastic. I honestly can't find a negative word about the room. Breakfast was simply delicious. A wide choice of cooked and cold food. Sweets and bread. I have seen many reviews recommending the breakfast and I must also join them in my high praise. Also if as us you have to check out before breakfast you will receive a very generous breakfast box. Just make sure you preorder this when you check in. I cant not praise the Scandic Bryggen enough. From our first to last moment with them it was a pleasure for us.
